The 2024 Da Lat Flower Festival is slated to run for nearly one month in Da Lat City, a popular tourist site in the Central Highlands province of Lam Dong, boasting various music performances, the provincial Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism announced on Sunday.

The 10th flower fest, themed ‘Da Lat Flowers - Symphony of Colors,’ will take place from December 6 to 31.

The nearly-one-month festival is meant to attract a large number of tourists, entertain travelers, and make it convenient for travelers to arrange a suitable time for a trip to Da Lat City to enjoy the highly-anticipated biennial event.

As planned, a ceremony will be held on the evening of December 31 to close the festival and welcome the 2025 New Year.

The theme of the 2024 Da Lat Flower Festival is aimed at emphasizing the value of Da Lat’s flower production industry and honoring the city’s efforts after joining the UNESCO Creative Cities Network in music in October last year.

A Korean music show will be organized within the framework of the 2024 Da Lat Flower Festival.

The city will treat locals and tourists to some 10 music programs and festivals in December.

Besides, a series of seminars on clean agriculture, green transition, and culture and music growth will be held during the period.

The previous editions of the flower festival saw Da Lat welcome some 700,000 tourists each, the provincial department told Tuoi Tre (Youth) newspaper.

With various music and art shows planned as part of the festival, the city anticipates a 30-percent increase in tourist arrivals compared to previous years.

According to the provincial department, lodging facilities and hotels in the upland city are expected to handle the influx smoothly, as the fest and various events will be spread throughout December.

In the first half of 2024, Lam Dong Province welcomed over five million visitors, including 301,000 international tourists, Lao Dong (Labor) newspaper reported Nguyen Tien Hai, deputy director of the provincial department, as saying.
