The Train Restaurant in Ho Chi Minh City’s District 7 has ditched its waiters and instead serves up food using a 30-meter model train.
Nguyen Thi Theu was inspired to open The Train Restaurant after visiting a similar eatery during a trip to the Czech Republic.

It cost Theu and her husband about VND500 million (US$21,265) bring the idea to life, including buying the model train and cars, plants, train stations, and European buildings that flank its tracks.
The model train carries about 5kg of food each trip and spends from 10 to 20 seconds at each table as diners pick up their Vietnamese spring rolls, spaghetti, dim sum, tteokbokki, and hamburgers.
