Vietnam’s south-central province of Binh Dinh kicked off its Amazing Binh Dinh Fest 2024 on Friday night in Thi Nai lagoon, located in the provincial capital city of Quy Nhon.

The week-long festival will run until March 31, featuring a myriad of activities in the tourism, cultural and sports fields.

Among them, the Grand Prix of Binh Dinh, a world powerboat race, will be the highlight of the festival, including the ABP Aquabike Grand Prix on March 22-24 and the F1H2O Grand Prix on March 29-31.

Binh Dinh is the first Vietnamese locality to host such an international powerboat tournament, adding that the Binh Dinh motorboat team of Vietnam will compete at the sports event.

This world powerboat race is expected to pave the way for water sports to thrive further and to promote sports economy in Vietnam, said Pham Anh Tuan, chairman of the provincial administration.

The festival-goers will also have an opportunity to enjoy culinary delights as well as a buffet party offering 77 local dishes, in addition to many other joy-filled events like a drone light show, a traditional martial arts show, and trade promotion programs.
