Thu Duc City under the jurisdiction of Ho Chi Minh City is set to put into operation Thao Dien Night Street on Friday to captivate both residents and tourists.

The 465-meter-long night street, which sprawls over a section of Xuan Thuy Street and borders Quoc Huong and Nguyen Van Huong Streets, will operate every Friday and Saturday from 7:00 pm to 2:00 am.

Scheduled to showcase the city’s cultural and culinary offerings, the night street will act as a gathering spot and an engaging destination for both residents and travelers.

The opening of the night street is aimed at boosting Thu Duc’s nighttime economy.

Apart from restaurants, eateries, and stores lining the night street, a slew of art performances and music shows will be held there to treat revelers during its trial operation period from January 19 to July 19.

The street management will offer e-car transport services to visitors and residents.

The introduction of the night street costs an estimated VND1.2 billion (US$48,939) sourced from private business contributions.
