Ho Chi Minh City has announced a series of short films aimed at popularizing the city’s tourism under the theme ‘Welcome to Ho Chi Minh City’ to attract both local and international travelers.
These short films showcase a variety of new tourism products and experiences in the city, highlighting the beauty and value of its culture, history, cuisine, and architecture at various tourist destinations.
Nguyen Thi Anh Hoa, director of the municipal Department of Tourism, said that the films would bring viewers to fantastic tourist sites and spread the uniqueness of the southern metropolis.
Through these films, tourists can immerse themselves in popular heritage sites, natural landscapes, and historical structures.
They can also explore a variety of local specialties and experience the city's dynamic lifestyle and hospitality.
The shorts also feature 100 most interesting things in Ho Chi Minh City, alongside famous eateries and restaurants listed by the Michelin Guide.
A film introducing Ho Chi Minh City’s culinary quintessence will be aired on Discovery Channel.
Starring in the film, Le Nguyen Bao Ngoc, Miss Intercontinental 2022, and chef and food blogger Sarah Huang Benjamin will guide viewers during a thrilling journey of culinary exploration.
The short flicks focus on introducing a wide array of festivals and tourism events held annually in Ho Chi Minh City.
Moreover, the films will promote medical tourism, spotlighting the city's high-quality healthcare facilities and skilled medical professionals.
Ho Chi Minh City plans to make medical tourism one of its distinctive brands.
Hoa said that the short film series is one of the city's 10 tourism communication products.
These films, centered around waterway tourism, entertainment, and the city's strengths, will be regularly broadcast to promote Ho Chi Minh City as a must-visit destination.
The films will help publicize the city's tourism brand recognition system, official tourism channels, and electronic tourism products.
