Ke Ga (Khe Ga) Cape in the south-central province of Binh Thuan is home to the country’s oldest lighthouse.
Ke Ga lighthouse in Ham Thuan Nam District is recognized by Vietnam's record organization VietKings as the tallest and oldest lighthouse in the country with a height of 65m and over a century of existence.
According to VietKings, Ke Ga Cape had long been considered as an extremely dangerous point for seafarers.
During the French colonial period, to ensure the safe passage of army and merchant ships, the French started the construction of Ke Ga lighthouse.
Designed by a French architect named Chnavat, the structure was built in nearly two years from February 1897 to late 1898, and was officially put in operation in 1900.
There are 183 spiral steps leading to the lantern on top.

Nowadays, the uninhabited Ke Ga Cape has emerged to be a more attractive destination for tourists, however it remains unknown for many compared to the neighboring famous Mui Ne Town and Phan Thiet City.

Around 25km from Phan Thiet City, Ke Ga Cape can be reached by motorbike or bus. To reach the lighthouse, visitors can hire speed boats or walk at ebb tide.
Besides the ancient lighthouse, Ke Ga also fascinates visitors with pristine beautiful beaches and camping activities.
