In photos: Charm of anchovy fishing season in south-central Vietnam

When the south-central region of Vietnam enters the scorching weather in May and June, fishermen in Phu Yen Province start to sail their boats out to the sea for the anchovy harvest.
Anchovy is a specialty of the region and is used to produce fish sauce.

The image of fishing nets thrown into the waters to catch anchovies creates a gorgeous picture of labor on the ocean.
These sea-based laborers mainly reside in Nhon Hoi, Hoi Son, and Phu Thuong, all hamlets in An Hoa Hai Commune, Tuy An District.
After netting anchovies, fishermen sell them to several local markets.
Photographers from near and far are drawn to the province to capture each moment of fishing in the sea when the anchovy harvesting season comes.
