Vietnamese women makes floral art pieces from clay and oil paint

Pham Thi Giang Sinh, a Ho Chi Minh City resident, is known amongst Vietnam’s DIY community for her stunning pictures of clay and oil paint flowers.
Sinh, who used to work in IT, quit her job three years ago to make clay flowers full time.
To create a new art piece, Sinh begins by painting a background.
She then shapes the flowers from clay and paints them before affixing them to the background and framing the work.
According to Sinh, the most difficult part of creating her artwork is painting because she has no formal background in fine art.
Each of Sinh’s pieces takes seven to ten days to complete, depending on size. They sell for VND3 million to 12 million (US$126.85 to 507.40).
