Ho Chi Minh City photo exhibition celebrates female photographers’ works

A photo exhibition is taking place in Ho Chi Minh City to celebrate works by local female photographers on the occasion of the International Women's Day (March 8).

The exhibition, held by the women branch of the Ho Chi Minh City Photography Association, features 135 photos taken by 45 photographers during the past year in provinces such as Tien Giang, Ben Tre, Tay Ninh, Ba Ria - Vung Tau and more.

During the photo trips, the photographers also joined charity works to support local people.

The exhibition also showcases some domestically and internationally awarded works by Vietnamese female photographers, including the “Floral Dress” by Khanh Phan. 

The photo on Friday won the Best Work Prize in the Photo category at the eighth SkyPixel Annual Photo and Video Contest.

A book about 135 works and their authors has also been released in print and digital format on the occasion.

The exhibition is taking place at 122 Suong Nguyet Anh in District 1 through March 10.
