This photo taken by Tuoi Tre’s correspondent Nam Tran captures northern Vietnam's Cai Beo fishing village from above.

“Cai Beo fishing village is a famous tourist destination located in Lan Ha Bay, part of Cat Ba archipelago in Cat Hai Island District, Hai Phong City,” he wrote.

“The village is one of the largest ancient fishing villages in Vietnam dating back nearly 7,000 years.

“Currently, this is the home of more than 500 households engaged in fishing and aquaculture farming in the bay.

“Cai Beo fishing village boasts a beauty that is both poetic and majestic because it is surrounded by the limestone mountains of Cat Ba National Park.

“In addition to visiting Cai Beo fishing village, tourists can take a boat trip around Lan Ha Bay, which is famous for its 400 large and small islands covered in green trees.

“Lan Ha Bay also has 139 sandy beaches with unspoiled beauty right at the foot of its limestone mountains.”
