Luong Nhu Hoc Street, which is known as the ‘Lantern Street’ in District 5, Ho Chi Minh City, welcomes thousands of customers a day who come to admire and buy lanterns as the Mid-Autumn Festival is only a few days away.

The Mid-Autumn Festival, which is celebrated by many Asian countries including Vietnam, is due on the 15th day of the eighth month in the lunar calendar. This year’s festival falls on September 29.

During celebrations, kids typically hang around with their well-lit lanterns, chanting traditional moon-welcoming songs and playing traditional games.
