Jetski, flyboard show thrills spectators on Phu Quoc

A jetski and flyboard show in Phu Quoc, a renowned tourist island city off Kien Giang Province in southern Vietnam, on Wednesday thrilled tourists with the perfect combination of water, lights, and music.

Vietnamese and international tourists excitedly enjoyed the show at Sunset Town, a popular destination in Phu Quoc City, the local administration said on Wednesday.

The show was created and directed by Australian producer of water shows H2O Events, featuring performances by one of the world's top flyboarders Kristina Isaeva and dozens of international athletes.

This marked the inaugural occurrence of jet skiing and flyboarding in Phu Quoc, enhancing the city's appeal as an international tourist destination.

Throughout the event, international athletes showcased extraordinary performances, including piloting flyboards, dancing at altitudes of 12-15 meters, executing 360-degree rotations, and performing aerial acrobatics.

The spectacle also featured a stunning display as 15 jetski riders, adorned with Vietnamese flags, glided through the sea.

Since December last year, Phu Quoc has launched a series of tourism events to serve tourists, including the inauguration of the iconic Kiss Bridge, a night market, and water puppetry shows, said chairman of the administration of Phu Quoc City Huynh Quang Hung.

Phu Quoc is determined to make breakthroughs in tourism this year, Hung said, adding that the city would join hands with large enterprises and investors to organize national, regional, and international events to lure more visitors.

The city has recently issued rules on civilized behaviors at tourist destinations, asking local tourism companies not to discriminate against, solicit, compel, or implore travelers to use their products or services.

They should instead acknowledge tourists’ opinions and suggestions.

The Phu Quoc government has mandated that eateries, restaurants, and tourism businesses publicly disclose their product and service prices, emphasizing the importance of aligning the actual charges with the listed rates.
