Tuoi Tre launches ‘Saigon River Development Plan’ contest

Tuoi Tre (Youth) newspaper has launched a contest fielding valuable suggestions to develop the iconic Saigon River in Ho Chi Minh City.

On the occasion of this year’s Reunification Day (April 30), Tuoi Tre organizes the ‘Saigon River Development Plan’ competition to look for ideas and solutions to contribute to the development of the Saigon River – a major waterway that flows through the southern metropolis.

With a total length of 256 kilometers, including an 80-kilometer section in Ho Chi Minh City, the Saigon River holds great potential for socio-economic development.

How can the urban areas by the Saigon River develop to their full potential? What suggestions and ideas can help realize this long-standing dream?

This contest is open to all readers and experts in Vietnam and overseas.

Formats:

- Articles, PowerPoint files, graphics, or video clips. An article must not exceed 1,500 words; a video is limited to five minutes long.

- Entries can be presented in Vietnamese and English.

- Entries have not been published in any form of media or on social networks.

Prizes:

 - Collective prizes: One first prize (VND30 million), one second prize (VND20 million), and one third prize (VND10 million).

- Individual prizes: One first prize (VND20 million), one second prize (VND10 million), one third prize (VND5 million), and five consolation prizes (VND3 million each).

Judging and announcing winners:

- Entries will be selected for introduction in all publications of Tuoi Tre.

- The results of the contest will be announced in Tuoi Tre publications and the newspaper's Reunification Day special edition.

- The judging panel consists of representatives of Tuoi Tre and reputable experts.
