Works to pave a promenade around Hoan Kiem Lake in Hanoi with granite stone have almost completed after five months of implementation, with other landscaping features also under urgent construction.

The works are part of a project to upgrade areas around the lake, initiated by authorities in the capital city.

The project has a total investment of around VND500 billion ($21.66 million), spanning an area of more than 3.7 hectares.

Paving began at the end of May, using the non-slip natural stone originating in the south-central provinces of Binh Dinh and Phu Yen.

More items such as ornamental plants, flower pots, and outdoor arts are arranged on the promenade to further embellish the iconic lake.
