Dong Nai Province in southern Vietnam currently leads the nation in the number of industrial parks, according to data released in 2023 by the Ministry of Planning and Investment.

The province, which has been at the forefront of Vietnam’s industrial development since the 1960s, is currently home to 31 operational industrial parks covering a combined 190 square kilometers.

These parks boast investments from 43 countries and territories and an average occupancy rate of nearly 86 percent.

Nationwide, there are approximately 563 industrial parks planned in 61 of Vietnam’s 63 provinces and cities.

Of these, 397 have been established and 292 are operational.

They occupy over 87,100 hectares of land, 58,700 hectares of which has been designated as 'industrial areas.'

About 106 industrial parks are under construction on roughly 35,700 hectares of land, with around 23,800 hectares reserved for industrial use.

After Dong Nai Province, Binh Duong Province and Ho Chi Minh City place second and third, respectively, followed by the southern province of Long An in fourth and the northern province of Bac Ninh in fifth.
