Facebook, in partnership with popular Vietnamese artists, launched a video-making program to advertise Vietnam’s destinations and people.

The program, entitled ‘Video for Vietnam,’ will run from September 20 to October 15 to encourage participants to film short videos on three topics of Vietnamese cuisine (indigenous meals and specialties), people (cultures of ethnic groups and Vietnamese personalities), and land (natural landscapes across the country).

The videos should be made public on the entrant’s personal Facebook and Instagram accounts with the hashtag #VideoforVietNamChallenge.

The best entries will be screened at a closing ceremony which will be livestreamed on October 15.

The program is part of the ‘Facebook for Vietnam' campaign, which was launched in May with the aim to help Vietnam quickly recover from the COVID-19 pandemic.

With the participation of Vietnamese celebrities such as actress Hong Van, actor Quyen Linh, supermodel Thanh Hang and Miss Universe Vietnam 2018 H’Hen Nie, as well as famous Asian artists, the event is expected to inspire national pride and solidarity among Vietnamese people amidst the pandemic while contributing to rejuvenating the country’s tourism sector.
